I live in Magna. I make barely more than national average.
I spend most of my spring/summer weekends driving around the western United States white water rafting or canyoneering. My daughter takes private coaching for soccer and is in club soccer. Private coaching 4 to 8 hundred a month. Club soccer not counting travel 2k per year. I have two vehicles that are 17 and 18 years old (Jeeps).
One of my good friends is an Attorney makes bank. Him and his wife drive BMW's. They live in a monsterous house on the east side by Hogle Zoo. They have one child. They never have time or money to do things. They pretty much live paycheck to paycheck. They tease me because I live in Magna. I tease them because they are boring.
I think it is easy for people to make it. It's not easy to make it if you want to impress people with the things you have. When we show up at the same social gatherings, people don't ask him about his house or cars, but they always ask me about my latest adventure.

I don't understand how people afford all the huge homes I drive by in utah county. Where do all these people work?
