I went on the ole Klondike camp out as a kid and it sucked but mainly because I had a terrible attitude.
I kept asking my leaders….why exactly did we drive 2 hours to the mountains to freeze to death??
It’s not my cup of tea but if I had a son, I would probably make him go, just because I had to do it.

If you're prepared, and they are, it's fine. I've camped at even colder. The preparation is key, though
