The longer this draws out, the more it means the P12 doesn't have a viable deal,
thus making them weaker and making the conference feel weaker.
The B12 is not in danger of being poached right now from the P12. Even if the P12 cobbles a deal together, everyone knows Oregon and Washington are dead men walking. In fact, they are probably the biggest P12 cheerleaders right now because it is in their interest to keep the corpse of the P12 fresh enough to live off of until the next wave of B10 realignments.
Nobody that is already in a Power 5 wants to jump to the walking corpse even if they somehow pull a rabbit out of their hat and get a decent deal.
