We always stayed in a nice part of town (there are nice parts). Great food in Memphis.
On one flight to Memphis, I sat next to a man who was flying home to Memphis from a business trip. We were chatting about Memphis and I asked him for a recommendation on a place to eat. He suggested a place, but paused and said, “Never mind. You would get killed there.” I chuckled and he looked me in the eyes and said, “I am serious. Don’t go there.”
