...you can't ignore it or pretend it isn't there cuz then you have issues like crowton did in 2004.
like it or not, it will always be a thing for BYU.
The 2yr church mission is another thing that's a bigger issue for BYU than most other schools, including this UVU team.
Look at Madsens team and there are only a couple LDS players on the team and they're end of the bench guys, not main rotation guys. I think Nield served a mission but don't know about Potter. Makes it a lot easier to construct a roster and build chemistry/continuity when you're not having that process interrupted by players taking a 2 yr break away from the sport.
Utah and Utah St doesn't seem to have as many LDS players as in years past either and even fewer that served missions.
These are just realities and things that make BYU a unique place
