For him, I don’t think the risk is worth whatever his share of a 300k judgment
would be. That’s definitely not life changing money for someone who had a career as a professional
For her, I can’t imagine putting her life on display and her reputation on the line for whatever it would have cost to settle

Many countries are loser pays. The US decided that structure would reduce the poor’s likelihood of seeking justice.
