#2 is dealing with the delusional, insufferable fans with little-program disease (related to little man's disease), LDS hate and/or bitterness from being rejected by BYU.
(Can we dub that "Little FAN Disease?" Sounds like a SEC Shorts skit)
But I'm first a BYU fan, and I'd hate to split our market with anyone else. Let the yewts rot in their (now desperate) PAC pride, all the way down the G6 ladder of shame, and let us get back to being the only program in our market in a P4.
Really, we have First Mover Advantage in the Big12 - being the first in the conference should lock out the yewts. The Big12 adding them would just doom both to having to split eyeballs and recruits. Would be the dumbest of dumb moves.
And actually for this reason, I almost hope the Big12 doesn't add any more west schools. This isn't as firm, though, as adding Colorado to the Big12 could help hasten the PAC degradation to G6.
