Most Ute fans don't believe this is even a remote possibility, including TFL
I'm not as doom and gloom for the Utes as most on this board; I think it's quite likely they would get a nod if Big 12 takes more than 2 Pac teams...but it's far from a guarantee.
Taking CU destabilizes the Pac enough that I think it opens the door for Oregon/Washington to consider joining the truck stop conference IF there isn't an imminent Big Ten invite. If you end up on CW for $25M/year, you run a serious risk of fading into total obscurity in 5 years before the next invite might come.
Outside of THAT happening (or the ACC imploding in the next 18 months), if Big 12 expands to 16 with only Pac schools, Utah gets invited.
