Compared to where Baylor, Texas Tech, etc. started, they're worse off now
"Started" means prior to the losses of the train of departures from their conference.
Compared to where it looked like they would be after the final two big fish left, they're in great shape.
It depends on the starting point for sure.
With Nebraska, Missouri, Texas A&M, Colorado, Texas, and Oklahoma, the latest media deal would surely be better than the one they got.
