About $73B in property taxes and only $42B or so in sales taxes at 6.25%. So yes
Sales taxes would become the highest in the country

However I suspect it would be staggered so they hotel and restaurant taxes are higher and food is lower. Other goods and services in the middle

In addition they could tax services as well that aren’t normally taxed. Legal, accounting, asset purchases. Another example is changing the RE laws to something like Europe has. Fees to buy and sell are fixed at 6-%. The RE industry gets 3% to split between agents and brokers. The state gets a 3% transaction tax on the sale price of the property
