She said that a few years previous she was taking a group through the cemetery on a tour and that as they approached the beach there were kids down on the beach playing soccer or something I don't recall. One man in the group was visibly irritated and scolded the guide telling her how inappropriate and disrespectful it was that kids were down playing on that sacred spot where so many gave there lives. After a few minutes the guide approached the visitor and said something of the effect of "What else do you think the boys who died on that beach would want people to do on the beach? It seems to me that children playing on that specific beach is entirely appropriate." The man nodded his head and agreeance and apologized. Anyway that is what I remember. I thought it was a good story. It is a remarkable place that is indeed sacred.
