Which also raises interesting issues; his biggest supporters rely on stats (all-time hit record and other longevity-based stats that wouldn't exist without those garbage 2900 PAs), but the flip side of that coin is that many os his other stats would look much, much better if teams would have stopped playing him regularly after he turned 40 like they should have.
