I’m not sure if that would have made things better or worse.
In my specialty HCA is just awful.. the third system (iasis/steward/holy cross) even worse. Combining that and having 5-6 HCA hospitals between SLC and Payson sounds like a total cluster.
The unfortunate thing is the U has been a total mess too in my specialty. So them imploding just makes the situation worse.
I still think IHC is the best job.. it’s avg pay but they have zero expectations of you actually having to do much work. So production is low. So stable job with mediocre pay and zero autonomy but minimal production requirements
