History was always my favorite subject. Maybe it was still too fresh in late
60's and early 70's, but none of my public education (grew up in Ohio) ever touched on any of the depravity committed by either armed service members. Later I did find out more upon reading books, etc., but I'd never heard of that many American soldiers being hung for raping. Wow. How different from today.
