their billing department and I have NEVER been able to get a hold of anyone about ANYTHING in the billing department. So, I will send her a message, but honestly my next step is to report it as fraud to my insurance company, who said that they will send me the information to report it to the state as well.
There's actually no part of me that thinks that this was an accident, because she did bill for a well-child visit on the same day, but then submitted an additional claim for a second visit to treat a very specific issue and included notes that the insurance company went over with me. She gave me a referral to a specialist for the issue during the well-child visit, which would be the extent of her treatment of that issue. Nothing about this seems accidental. If there were notes about it I would be willing to buy the "clicked the wrong thing" story, but she put in notes to justify the visit.
