The only argument they could make is that the "assault" portion happened prior
to Scheffler turning and that the officer fell to the ground in the seconds before the vehicle turned and thus the entire incident happened outside of the view of the camera. At that point all you really see is a car turn, the police chase it down, and Scheffler get pulled out of the car and arrested.

Based on what I saw of the prosecutor a couple days ago in the initial hearing, there’s no chance charges get dropped.
