Friction wear on EV brakes is nearly non-existent due to regenerative braking.
But tire wear on EVs is definitely more than ICE vehicles. I don't see it as much of a green debate vs fuel availability debate. Fossil fuels are limited and will eventually run out. Eventually (if humans don't end themselves first), everything will be electricity-based, likely from renewable sources, like sunlight. It's not going to happen in my lifetime, but I'm not too bothered by the start of the shift... especially if it means I get to drive a really fun car in the meantime.
