... have to be considered as well. In the days of Staubach, Baugh, Starr, 3rd and 2 was a running down. Now it's a passing down. Throwing in the days of relaxed pass interference and holding enforcement (pre-1978 rules) was a far more risky proposition than it is today.
That said, I think Terry Bradshaw is one of the most overrated QBs in history. He had HOFers at both WR spots, running back and with half his offensive line. Pittsburgh still wins four Super Bowls with a lot of QBs. Ken Anderson is miles ahead of Bradshaw in many offensive categories, and they played at the same time.
