It is kind of interesting to compare the recent "big scandals" of both schools.
BYU's big one was that a student engaged in legal activity that is allowed by the NCAA and highly popular among most student athletes, but was against BYU's own rules. The scandal part wasn't the activity, but the fact that the star athlete was dismissed from the team right before the post season tournaments at a time when #3 ranked BYU, according to ESPN, was THE story of the year.

Utah's big scandal is that a coach of an athletic team that no one but the athletes and their parents care about was shockingly abusive and the administration protected him.

It seems like Chris Hill is in over his head in the PAC 12. He's been acting really desperate (for lack of a better word) since Utah joined the P12.
