What approach would you recommend then. How is his approach "holding him back"?

We have an honor code. Bronco has used that as an advantage rather than disadvantage. People pretend that he really follows "players recruit byu" but in reality this is not true. He is just playing up that BYU is special and if you want to play at BYU you must be exceptional in all areas. It is appealing to players and parents and effective in making BYU different from other schools. we will never compete with alabama etc. he embraces what makes BYU different and uses it as an advantage as much as he can. i think that is the right approach. otherwise we are basically utah but not in the pac12.
