Church can be hard since it demands time, but people still hang out with family
or older lifelong friends.
I have found it is almost always easier to make those friends in any other wholesome community with values, tennis, youth sports, alumni, professional organizations, volunteer and civic groups, dancing etc. Etc., because in the church the demands on time seems almost mandatory and in other organizations service tends to have more feeling of freedom and less of duty.
