Here are the conclusions, as supported by past years.
For BYU to be part of the national discussion, it must win all its early games and any games against P5 opponents. Losing to Texas in the second game will take BYU out of that discussion almost immediately.
Locally, going 5 and 1, and the fans will stay. So I disagree with him about attendance, but the national fanbase will be disappointed to once again to be counted out.
