In your scenario, I'm going to watch both games.
Due to my financial situation, I'm not going to be attending either. Sad, but true.
Here's the deal - people keep saying that you need a conference to maintain interest due to a conference race. The reality (to me, at least) is that I'm one of the fans that watches all of the games. Even through Crowton's lousy years. Trust me, conference race considerations what NOT what I was thinking when watching those games.
I'll admit that I get more excited about the possibilities when they are winning. And going undefeated would be awesome (I assume you meant 12-0 not 12-9). But either way, I'm watching all of the games. I'm wearing the gear. Etc.
What he is describing seems to refer more to the bandwagoners. And I'll admit that we want them - we want as many fans as we can get even if they are fair-weather fans. But it won't affect me.
