The disconnect is that Benson says McMahon didn't even go to the interview with the HC office. I believe this. I think McMahon is just hyperbolizing. I don't think that is out of character for him. Saying he went in vs. they called him in and he didn't go probably doesn't make all that much difference to him. In his head he decided the outcome would be the same. He was on his way to the NFL and his last semester of school didn't matter.
