The main reason having a medical school at BYU is a bad idea

to me is not the Church/Gov funding or the schould members go to better schools in the mission field.

My problem is with putting a medical school in Provo. I dont think you could get the volume and diversity of cases necissary to make the place a good training ground. If BYU ever really got into the health sciences, they should open a school in Phoenix, where there is a large population, poor health and high need for medical services.
