The Church needs lawyers, can't you see the advantage of having your own law

school with professors that are church employees that you can tap when needed for advice on issues?

As for the Marriott School, a business degree is a very marketable bachelor's degree, and BYU's mission is to produce the best undergraduate education it can. Like other departments on campus, the Marriott School exists primarily for its undergraduate program, and has graduate programs as a secondary emphasis.
