Isn't missionary work extremely important to the church? If it really is a missionary tool why would any of you care if they spend tithing money on it?

The church doesn't want to spend a lot of money on football because it brings in money. If they spend more money on football and don't make a profit then it doesn't matter. The amount of money spent has to be overshadowed by the amount coming in. If it was truly a missionary tool then the amount the spent shouldn't be an issue and where the money comes from shouldn't be an issue.
