We have such a Puritanical culture and approach throughout the Church.
It's like we have to take a hard & fast rule to everything, otherwise we're into the pride cycle and on the downward spiral into destruction.
From the erector set facade of LES down to the 25 year old hallway vacuum cleaner our FM refuses to replace. Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without, unless it's a Mall in downtown SLC.
