they are reporting solely on funds donated to the church as tithing, and that those funds were handled in accordance with GAAP. The remainder of the funds used for Bonneville International, Property Reserve Inc., City Creek Reserve Inc., Zions Securities Corporation, Deseret Mutual Benefit Association, florida cattle ranches, Deseret Land and Livestock, etc, are not included in that report. So, there definitely is a separation and segregation of handling and reporting of funds. Perhaps seed money was initially tithing, but tithing no longer flows into these funds as they are self-sustaining. As such, it's pretty spurious to say City Creek was paid for by tithing funds as though a portion of what I've donated during my lifetime went into that development.
