Would a Ute fan agree to building a BYU-Africa?
Your title talks of real religion - feeding the hungry, preaching the word. Right now, the fastest growing area of the church is in Africa. There is also a criminal lack of educational opportunities for African saints, as often there is only room for 25% of the populace to attend high school. Also, the church is still getting bad PR from the preisthood ban.

Imagine if the church took a little money and built a BYU-Africa. It would help the healing from the preisthood ban, likely resulting in a big PR boost, especially among the African-American community. It would be a huge humanitarian PR boost for the church. It would be a huge benefit to the African saints who need the education, as well as providing a cultural center that would help build the church social community in that part of the world.

However, here is the catch for you as a UU fan. This could definately result in more Ziggy Ansah' showing up on the BYU D-Line, and more Charles Abouo's showing up on the basketball court wearing the Cougar blue. Would you be willing to do something that really helps the saints, much more than developing city creek, when at the same time it will help BYU athletics? Are you willing to "feed the hungry, cloth the naked, heal the sick, and preach the word" when doing so would also result in an "African Pipeline" for BYU sports?

I am interested in your reply.
