At BYU, we understand the unique aspects of the school and the benefits and
challenges that come with those unique aspects. As fans, we should expect our coaches to grow the program regardless of those challenges. If our coaches aren't maximizing the advantages we have and figuring out ways to minimize any disadvantages, they need to be replaced by coaches that will. Improvement and growth, even if gradual, should be expected overall. There are always ups and downs, so we shouldn't react too strongly to every win or loss, or even a string of losses, or even a bad season or two or three. However, we should expect to be moving forward for the most part. We certainly shouldn't be regressing as a program, and we've regressed a bit these past few years. We need to get moving in the right direction again. That may be happening even as I type, but so far it hasn't really shown on the field. Time will tell, and if Bronco fails to get things going again in the right direction, he'll be asked to move on at some point. And then we'll find another coach that will also promote the spiritual aspects of BYU, but who will also hopefully find a way to grow the program.
