Though a "holier than thou" attitude is never the way to go, and some of the
things you mentioned are just silly. Some are addressed in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. Specifically entertainment choices and Sabbath day observance. We're all on different levels with applying gospel principles, but when the prophet speaks we should do our best to follow. My recommendation: do your best, don't judge others, but also don't try to be the exception to the standards. Thanks for your post!
