To be fair, what is anti-Mormon in this post? Many faithful members are bothered by the lack of transparency with Church finances. Why? Because the scriptures and early Church spelled it out that way, common consent and transparency. Now, we hear from someone who tells us everything is on the up and up.
Yet, we, as a Church (profit arm, but come on, everything stems from tithing and sacred funds) build a ~$3 billion dollar luxury mall and call it good. People are starving throughout the world and thats what we do. You think I would hesitate to express my disappointment to President Monson if he asked? I would not. That is my right and I would not suffer for doing so. As a member of the Church, I dont have to agree with everything said or done and I can express my thoughts and think on my own. I wouldnt have it any other way. It is not our job to try and justify and protect the Church and everything they do. That is a weak testimony that requires that. I strive for truth and when I see luxury malls and brethren cheering "Lets go shopping" at a ribbon cutting ceremony, that bothers me to my core.
On this thread, I have seen sig pics glorifying snipers and killing and yet someone speaks of feeding the poor and hungry and they are evil?
