No great revelation, but the fix for this is to get into a P5 conference.
Once we are in a P5 conference, the top-rated recruits will no longer have to choose between BYU and the highest level of CFB. They can have both. It doesn't mean all instate recruits will stay and go to BYU, but a higher percentage of these kids will go to BYU, and a higher percentage of out of state LDS kids will come as well.
