We used to have two large dogs in our backyard that would bark from time time. I never wanted to be "that neighbor", so we were pretty quick to quiet our dogs if/ when they barked. I never really worried about these neighbors when our dogs barked because a) where their bedrooms are located in their home means they probably didn't hear much of the barking; and, b) these neighbors have parties on a regular basis and are always loud. We've been kept up countless times by their loud parties, so I always figured it was payback and deserved if they were kept up by any barking from our dogs.

If it happens again tonight I'll need to chat with thrm tomorrow.

Or I could always call the HOA have them handle it.
