Basketball is not the only sport at Utah. The $14mm is a subsidy for the

athletic department, not just basketball. Clearly the legislature deems a healthy athletics program at the flagship school to be a worthwhile investment. You may disagree but your bias against Utah athletics because of your BYU fandom isn't about to change that.
