The church no longer subsidizing the tuition at BYU - my guess is that this

info will become more public in a couple of years. It seems BYU/The Church want a little cushion to ensure they don't have to return to subsidies before they make it public info.

The Church is tired of the "but I pay tithing and my kid didn't get in - so now my tithing is used to subsidize someone else's kid's tuition" emails.
