And to be further fair, 3 of those guys weren't at BYU very long--& none of those 3 were NFL shoe-ins when they got here.
If a kid's not a top-20 JC player, we shouldn't expect BYU to wave the magic wand & make him somehow into an draft pick. I know Rob Daniel was a late qualifier & might've been ranked high if he hadn't sat out for a year as a non-qualifier--but really, we'll never know if he could've been a top-20 JC pick. Regardless, I don't see him having a much better career at another school. It's far more likely he wouldn't have gotten as large a role as we gave him, I think. He definitely got his oportunities to shine. Sometimes he did, & sometimes he definitely didn't.
