BYU is about developing good college student athletes. And I'm happy with that.
I don't think BYU is the right place for guys whose only objective is to get to the NFL.
It's a good place for guys who want to get "set for life" in more than one area of life: education, faith, family etc.
I love it when guys like this have a great collegiate career whether or not it leads to the pros.

Look at Ansah - The man pursued a good education in actuarial science. The ultimate student athlete. What a stud. Look at Detmer, who had limited upside at the next level but was spectacular at the college level - look at the great things he's still doing now. Tons of former players doing amazing things in life. I want to see BYU continue to focus on producing excellent individuals no matter whether they end up playing in the league or not. That should be the draw for players wanting to come to BYU: No matter what, by choosing BYU they will have many opportunities to excel in life (and one of them might be the NFL).
