Finding an exception or two to the generalization out of dozens of examples does not logically counter the generalization. If you want to modify it to say, "when the talent is exceptional enough, teams will still use a draft choice even if a mission has been served" then I am OK with that. If Taysom has a spectacular year, and stays healthy, I could see a team using up a 2nd round pick for him. But in general, I believe it will be many years between picks when a 1st or 2nd rounder is used on an RM.
