I don't obsess about Utah.
No one outside Utah and BYU fans remembers a game against Utah. People remember games against Texas and Oklahoma and 59-0 against UCLA. I don't live in Utah...they quit on the rivalry...they don't resonate with me.
But that isn't really my point. My point is you can't compare Utah of the first 10 years of the Lavell era to Utah of the Bronco era. Utah hadn't been built yet. Once they were built...Lavell struggled and was essentially about the same as Bronco in his last 9 years.
