Yeah, of course its football, and anything could have happened. But chances were really high that we win that game. The problems we were having in the first half (before the injury) weren't on offense, they were on defense--and we solved these in the second half. When Taysom went out, we were driving down the field. He went down, we lost the ball, and we got burned on a double move on USU's first play (score now 28-14 instead of 21-21 or 21-17). In the second half, Utah State outscored us only 7-6 while Stew completed a dismal 10 of 25 passes (and we still scored 2 FGs). There is no way Taysom wouldn't have led 3 TD drives in the second half, and we win by 10 points--USU would not have had an answer for Taysom in the second half, and that would have been the difference.
