Looking frame by frame at the replay and he starts to his right of the return
man 5-10 yards before the collision. Looking at the field lines, it is clear almost his entire body is to the "right". Then at the "block" he is half a body to the LEFT of the return man. This shows he was angling to the left. If untouched, I think there is a good chance he runs right by the receiver to the left. Should have been a no call IMO as the contact of the blocker was substantial.

To be fair, the return man also moved a little to the right as well (his own left). He may have been clipped anyway. But I certainly don't understand the call except to say REF'ing is a hard job and depending on the angle they may not have been able to see it clearly in real time.
