Davis fighting to his left. His left shoulder is pushed backward as he is running left which shifts the right shoulder in and down. With the change of trajectory from the block, it looks like he lowered his shoulder into the punt returner.

However, I think the nail in the coffin is Davis' feet. They are facing entirely the wrong direction if it was an intentional hit. There is a great view during the second angle of Cougazul's highlight vid.
