evaluating talent and bringing talent into the program... however beating a bunch of average G5 teams and going 1 for 3 against P5's is somehow a job well done?

And I'll be the first to admit that most of these recruiting sites are not for the coaches... they are for us stupid fans and the parents of the players that like to get all jazzed up about it... But it's also not hard to spot some good quality talent. If I were to venture a guess... some of the players that Bronco and staff have recruited, if they had gone to a few camps in the East and were getting serious looks by the LSU's, Florida, Alabama's of the world... they'd be 5* recruits. The more camps you attend, the better your Star status grows... and the bigger the team that is knocking at your door... can also add more stars to your recruits name as well.

In fact I swear there was a BYU recruit a few years back that was a 4*... committed to BYU, and somehow dropped to a 3*.

But I digress...

The coaches still have a job to develop that talent, considering the track record of getting players drafted and just getting them into the NFL... if the coaches were teachers and they were judged by the number of students that excelled in the career field of study, the coaches would be sporting a big fat F. I think we have several athletes on this team that could play and start for a lot of high end D1 schools... we also have some kids that probably shouldn't be getting a D1 scholarship at all. Never the less... a bunch of 8-5 and a possible 10-3 this year isn't exactly screaming "successful program."
