Sorry to rain on this parade. Debt assumed in a divorce isn't dischargeable in
bankruptcy. This is to eliminate the old game of the guy offering to pay higher alimony in exchange for the wife taking on all the debt. They get divorced and then she files bankruptcy. I'm sure there are probably some loop holes but my attorney was pretty clear on that one.
