So instead of working on the things that 100% will decrease your debt if you do
them - like dropping cable, ditching an extra car, switching insurance, etc. They should go out and look for another job, which will take a ton of time, and could potentially be a lot riskier?
How much do you think one needs to have a decent life (in Utah for cost of living's sake)?
Free cash flow is king and cutting fat is the quickest and most reliable way to do that - though getting a fat raise can bring in more, you don't control it. You control 100% of the money that goes through your hands.
