I agree with you for the most part; though the overhead in the US and the fact
that medical billing personnel support themselves if they don't bill correctly the first time and the getting bills from 5 different medical areas is a bit frustrating.
No way is the Canadian system free; but if you don't have a catastrophic problem (hard to predict), it is better.
