Slim The worst
This paying doctors to "keep people healthy" sounds nice but doesn't make sense realistically. It would only apply to
primary care docs who have their own outpatient clinic. And those aren't the same doctors who are getting paid to do the expensive procedures because most primary care doctors aren't doing procedures/surgeries etc...

How is a trauma surgeon supposed to get paid for keeping you healthy? Or a hospitalist? The only way you ever even see those kinds of docs is if something bad has already happened that you likely hadn't anticipated.

The system is definitely broken. But people need to keep themselves healthy. I think it would be great if primary care docs were getting people out of bed in the morning to go to the gym or walking around knocking the french fries out of their hands so that they'd stay out of the hospital, but it is harder than it sounds.
