i disagree here, but see your point
I honestly think that Taysom has put in so much work, and is such a good athlete, and makes enough good plays that he has earned the right to start in every game. Part of the reason is to showcase his talent and give him the opportunity to prove (or disprove) what he can do at the next level. He deserves to leave BYU without the, "If they would have just given me a chance, I could have shown what I can do" regret. This is only his 2nd full year of being healthy. He needs to prove to the commentators, to the scouts, and most of all to himself, realistically what his chances are and are not of succeeding at the next level.

All that said, my humble opinion is that he will not play QB at the next level, but he may get picked up as UDFA, or he may decide to hang it up. He will be able to make his best decision with a full year's worth of a senior season at BYU.

All of this said, I believe that Tanner will make some amazing throws next year, I think he will put up huge numbers passing and we will having a better record against an easier schedule. As a fan, I will always wonder what this year would have been like with him holding the keys to the car. But I can't fault the coaches for going all in on Taysom this year.
